This car was originally a 2.3 liter with automatic transmission. Me and my brother swapped in a 5.0 liter v8 with the 5 speed transmission. Then we put a paint job on it. Then while in the process of moving to a different house someone came and stole it right out of the driveway. I'm still depressed that someone stole it and the police have not found it. We intended on this being our "Shop car" to get us business painting cars. So we would have something to prove we can do high quality work. I'm glad I got photos at least.

Looks good. Sorry to hear someone stole it. How long ago was it stolen? I hope it was insured. Are you going to build another one?

This isnt going to make you feel better, but its a compliment someone wanted it so bad. But in all seriousiness that really is a bummer and I'm sorry some idiot would do that. They will get Karma coming back to them. I hope you build another one soon.

I totally agree twistedyees87 it is a compliment that it was good enough to make them want it that bad. Karma is a you-know-what. I am planning on building another one soon, in fact right now I'm looking at buying a used car. Me and my brother have been saving up and are putting our money together. I'm not sure what I want yet but I have an idea. I think I'm looking for something like a Ranger, S-10, Civic, etc. Something with a 4 cylinder and a manual transmission so I can get the best gas mileage. I'll be sure to post pics when I find something. Then we will probably put a paint job on it and maybe more. First we got to find it though!

Yes, I agree with you both that it is a compliment that someone wanted the car so bad that they took it, but I know you and your brother were so mad when you realized that the car was gone. The paint on it is very nice, so the two of you definitely know what you are doing. If people would put the work in themselves and learn how to paint a car, they wouldn't have to resort to stealing other people's work.

The thieves who took the car are kind of stupid because with that specific paint job on it, you can tell that is your car from a mile away. They are going to have to take it to another city in order to drive it without being recognized.

I hope you both continue to work with the talent that you have, and continue to post your latest work here so we can see:thumbsup:.

That's a shame. I have had a 2 cars stolen from me so I know how you feel. Both of mine were found though. One beat to crap, the other stripped. You don't want them to find that car, believe me.

Awe that sucks. I admire anyone that can perform any sort of engine swap, and automatic to manual swap! Really a shame. That looked like quite the project, and quite an interesting color choice.

Sorry for your car, that was bad luck. :/
But don't give up, the painting is very well done, you can make it work! :)
