    James,

I was wondering if listing some upcoming car shows would bring a little attention to the board through people searching online. I was just looking at some of the things that will be on Long Island, NY alone and I'm sure that people wouldn't mind knowing what is going on in their neck of the woods.

I don't know if you would want the occasional announcement or where you would want to put them.

You know what, I've seen that thread and I guess because it had passed, I didn't think about it again. Okay, I at least know where you would want the announcements if I have any to post.

I think I might have found a mod that will be great for announcements. I'm looking into it.

Well if you have some they can be posted and then I can just repost them in the mod. I think your right. I'm glad you mentioned it so I could start working on that feature again.

The event calender is now up. Here is the info I posted in the other thread.

We have a new feature on Gearhead Central. Under the passenger side headlight of the Peterbilt in our logo you will see an Event tab. This is where you can post events like car shows, car washes, car auctions and so on. There is also an option to make it a thread (just by checking a box) in the car show forum under the Car and Truck category.

Posting in the event calender is free for all members.

Thanks for the push in getting this feature up and running.

Have you had a chance to look at this new feature yet?

I saw the first announcement, but I was going to really look into how you did it tomorrow when I had a little more time. I want it to be as uniform as possible. I saw the map and everything, so I want to be able to put those up for you also.

I'm looking at the test ribbons now. Four isn't bad, but I'd stick with either three or five. Five might make the space allotted to each post too long for your taste though.

    Sounds good.

As far as the ribbons I might have the list I mentioned but only allow it to display up to three.
