I would suggest adding a chatbox to this forum for people to communicate with others.

I have never been a huge fan of chat boxes on forums. It doesn't add any content to the forum and it is more work trying to deal with the ones that get out of hand (with spam and just causing trouble). Some find them great but others don't even bother with them.

I was a part of one forum that had 30000+ members on the site. There could 1500+ people on the site at a time. Threads on there could move as fast as a chat box at times. We had some threads that were just like a random chat. It was a motorcycle forum so people would get stir crazy in the winter. So there was some threads with a lot of chat in them about this and that.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will look into it and think it over. As well as talk to some other forum owners again about how it is working on their forums.

I kind of support this suggestion, at least until the forums grows to a level it's hard to keep hand on. It avoids spammy chats or you can make simple conversations like "hey, what's up?" and such.
