Okay I know there is a bit of a thing re Harley riders and 'metric' cruiser
owners. Some are hardcore re the HD Mystique. Me personally not so much
but that is okay. Different strokes etc.
Anyway I found this piece of info to be interesting. For some it will not be a surprise.
Probably won't change some riders' minds though.
And I have no idea why Suzuki is not mentioned.

What surprises me is the less reliable they are the more likely they are to buy again in that test sample. I'm a huge Yamaha fan so I was happy to see it high on the list.

HD has built a following that is very loyal. Apple is the same way. For the most part when things are like that you can do no wrong. BMW has that as well to a point. Maybe on a smaller scale.

Part of the HD thing might be the brand recognition. They have a lot of merchandise and it sells really well. You can pick it out in a crowd. Some non riders will wear it as well. I think the Japanese brands need more of that.

I also find it odd that Suzuki wasn't mentioned at all in that article.

I'm sure MILEAGE has a lot to do with these findings. Here's a hint, Harley and BMW don't offer a 250cc dual sport which will probably NEVER see 10,000 miles. I would guess the average Honda, Kawasaki, or Yamaha gets around 2500 miles a year. Is this report ONLY on street bikes?
