    Hi everyone, my name is Mike and I'm what you could label a cobra fanatic. One of my lifelong dreams is to one day own an original Shelby Cobra from back in the days, the only problem is just the 800,000$ price tag :p

    I'm also slowly trying to get into the whole restoring/tuning cars thing. my first small starter-project will be a really nice 1973 VW Bug, I'm really looking forward to starting on it. If all goes well and things work out as I imagine them, my next big step up will then be a 70-73 camaro (split bumper model), I just love the feel of that one, and I've always had a weak spot for muscle cars hehe. I'm imagining a complete overhaul including new interior, lowering it as much as humanly possible, making it a tad bit wider to fit with the fatter wheels and maybe even add a hydraulic suspension.

    I'm really looking forward to get some expert opinions and in-depth info here, lurked the forum a little and love what I saw so far. Cheers to all Gearheads and thanks for having me :)

    My dream car is in your avatar. :D I'm a big Cobra fan myself. I also wanted an Original Cobra but the price is in the way for me as well. Because of that and the fact that I would want to drive it (a lot) I want to build a replica. I have looked at many over the years in magazines and online. I decided I want a Factory Five MK4 Roadster. At some point I'm hoping to have the money to take the project on. Having a Cobra and building it with my own hands would be a dream come true.

    Those projects you have planned sound sweet. If you start them, I would love it if you posted them in the build section. I love following a long with builds.

    The FF's are insanely cool and a worthy replica of a great car. I also love their hotrod (forgot the name), which is another thing on my todo list, just gotta win the lottery first I guess :rolleyes:

    I'll see what I can do in terms of build reports, I'm planning to start on the bug in mid june/july, it'll be slow progress at first, since I gotta learn a thing or two about restoration and detailing, but I'll keep you guys posted :)
