    Welcome to Gearhead Central @john1990

I haven't done any betting in a couple of years now I think. I did t feel I had the money to spare so I didn't. I always start real small and then will bet bigger if I win a certain amount. I don't like tossing paychecks away.

Yeah I use to bet when i had the money to spare. But it got to a point where i felt i had to be more financially responsible.

The only sports betting I regularly do is here. I guess that doesn't count so I have to say very rarely.

When you bet and you take a couple of losses, it changes your perspective. It has happened to me before and it was not a plesant situation.

I used to bet on MMA fights online, but after losing more money than winning, I decided I was better off not doing so. I figure it's been more than a year since the last time I actually placed money on a fight.

I used to bet on sports. Football, basketball, but I learned my lesson. A friend of mine and I bet on a game. I had no intention on collecting the money if I won, and I really felt that had I won he would have felt under no obligation to pay me, however, I didn't win. He did. And he actually wanted his money! I thought that we were just two friends betting, but not really betting. He took it seriously. He seemed to go out of his way to come to me and collect his money. I was so p*ssed off. I thought that we were just having fun. After that, I don't like betting so much.

If you bet with someone and put a price on it then its a bet that should be paid. If it is done, it should never be for an amount that is going to cause a problem with the friendship.

I don't bet on any of the sports except football. Football isn't necessarily easy, but its so fun to watch through it.

I usually put one decent size bet each week during the season. And I don't know if it counts but I do fantasy, and survivor leagues as well that has money on it.

I occasionally put bets on the last digit of each teams score with football, known as a block pool. You have to put in some money up front to pay for other peoples' rewards, and I've won some decent money in the past. You need a lot of people to do it though.

I use to bet on bodog online. But then I lost a lot of money so I had to stop. It's exciting when you win but it also becomes addicting at that point. Sports betting is a real slippery slope.

I used Pinnacle and 5 dimes. I was very good and not getting out of hand with big deposits. They try to get you with the bonuses but I had a small amount that I was willing to lose a week and that was it.

Pinnacle is a good one too. I knew I had to stop when my losses totalled $500. I probably should have stopped before that but I kept thinking to myself "Don't worry, you'll make it back. Just bet large." It was so stupid when I think back on it because I could've used that money for so many better things.

I used to participate in small betting sessions with friends and we would bet on which team would win in basketball. The bets are cheap anyway, around $5 per session, so when someone losses it's not a huge loss at all.

I have always thought about betting on sports, but i never have. The risk that comes with betting is just too much for me to think about. If i were to lose big money on a bet, i would go into a state of rage! Haha.

There is no money in betting if you win now you will probably lose on the next ten bets. If you are lucky at the end of the year you have an extra few hundred dollars but most of us even if we know what we are doing ultimately end in having less money and more disappointment.:(

I only bet when I have enough money to lose in case of choosing the wrong picks, and since I'm not very knowledgeable in sports, I also need to have someone advising me before placing any bet ;)
