    Hi John,

I have not bet for money. Between friends we had bet a lot of time and I had ended up paying for the dinner, but that was all about it. Also, the bets were within the limits of what we could pay. :)

I have bet just amongst friends or family members but nothing serious. That was in the past though, I'm just not into sports like I used to be. I used to loved basketball but now I look at more football.

NEVER, for me I think gambling in anyway is just too dangerous and I rather use the money on something that I'll get more enjoyment out of like a video game or something.

I never bet on sports and I don't ever bet on anything. Gambling is a waste of time and money. The amount of money I lose on gambling can be used on a lot of useful things and make my life easier.

I disagree that it is a waste of time and money. I had fun with it and spent less on it then some do on coffee every week. The problem is when you spend too much. I never loaded on more then what I could lose (I put on less then I could have spent on some other things).

I know many people that spend more the. $100 a night out drinking. I have spent $25 over the course of two weeks. That is cheap fun if you ask me.

That's because you have control of how much you spend betting. I was referring to those that spend hours analyzing teams all day and bet huge sums of money. I agree that betting can be recreational but it only is when you bet for fun. Some people take sports betting as though it's their job, those are what I hate.

My family is a big fan of soccer and we bet as often as each persons team or favorite of two teams have to play. We only do friendly bets though. I never ever bet for cash.

I sometimes put small bets online in games where I otherwise would have no interest but I know I will watch the game anyway.
I do this especially around big competitions like the World Cup or the Euro, since I know I will watch most matches, if not all of them, so it makes the whole thing much more interesting.

Obviously sports betting is and always will be popular, but it has started to change a bit. It seems like more and more people are switching from just betting on a game to betting on their fantasy teams. I know I do this and many others do as well, it makes it a little more exciting because you have to pay attention to every single game, not just the one.
