I wanted grab handles for my Jeep. They connect to the roll bars to assist a person getting into a Jeep. I found some I liked and put them on my want list.

Then one day I noticed some paracord grab handles. They are grab handles that are made out of 550 lbs parachute cord. I thought about buying a set but the more I thought about it the more I wanted to make them myself. There are many tutorials online. Well not too long ago I bought some 500 paracord and started practicing with key chains and then bracelets.

    Some key chains.

My key chain to match my Jeep.

Bracelet for my wife. I made a black on for myself.

Getting ready for my grab handles

Start of my first design. Start with cobra weave.

    Second layer (King Cobra weave).

The first design was longer and would hook one end to a windshield mount bolt. Other end would mount around the roll bar. Then I decided to make another one one that would use two roll bar straps. The next two pics are them. I went with a cobra weave around the roll bars, closed with a d shackle. Then I went with a king cobra weave for the handle.

Here is the passenger side one installed. My kids love it. They said it makes it much easier to get in the Jeep.
I want to paint my other d shackles black before installing the other one. Then I will switch out the ones that are in and paint those as well.
