How do you see this fight going down?

I've been watching Diaz for a long time. His KO of Robbie Lawler at UFC 47 surprised the heck out of me, and he's kept getting better ever since then. On its own, his BJJ is probably the best in the Welterweight division, and he's very good with his hands.

St Pierre on the other hand definitely has the best wrestling in the division, but he has submission skills as well. He also is a skilled striker, but he hasn't made much use of it other than setting up takedowns since the loss to Matt Serra.

My expectation is for St Pierre to do his usual: take Diaz down, avoid the submissions, and pound him out for 5 rounds or until a TKO. Even though I think Diaz's BJJ is better than BJ Penn's, I don't think he'll tap GSP unless there's a big mistake. If something is off in St Pierre's takedowns, though, I see it being a long night for Georges with Nick staying outside and using his reach to take advantage of Georges fear of being KOed.

Georges St. Pierre will, I expect, take it. Although MMA has had its share of upsets and surprises.
Generally it seems like other than the Spider Silva, GSP is the best. I am a fan of GSP and sure hope he doesn't lose to Diaz. One of the best of all time in the UFC? Yeah I think so.
I did see him lose that fight to Hughes early on in his career and even that was close and Hughes himself was sort of considered unbeatable back then. Then I saw (on dvd not live) the fight and the loss to Matt Serra, and then GSP comes back to beat him.
He is an amazing fighter and I am a fan, not just because I am Canadian. But yeah I like that fact too.
Personally I am really hoping GSP demolishes Diaz. I would like to see him finish it in round two or three as well.

I think GSP will take it. In the fight game anything can happen but I feel GSP will take the fight.

Less than a week away . Could be good. I think this is the first fight for GSP in some time.
I do not underestimate Diaz. Talented. But I think it will be another GSP win.
I hope so. The odds are of course backing Georges.

Georges took Diaz by decision. And he had words of praise for the opponent after the win.
Class show by GSP. I do wish he had taken it by knockout rather than a decision win.
And Ronda Rousey was wrong. She was one of the few who prior to the event said Diaz would
be the victor. It might have been personal just because GSP made a comment that he did not particularly see himself as a fan of women fighting in MMA.
Whether that comment, before Ronda's successful title win was the reason for her second put down of GSP I do not know. The first was she said he was a boring fighter.
Personally I am still a Cyborg fan more than a Ronda Rowdy fan.

I didn't see the fight but I'm happy to hear GSP won. I was hoping for a KO win but a win is a win.

Did you get to see the fight Ryder13?

    Hi James
Nope I didn't see it, just caught results early on the internet. I have a liking for GSP and a dislike for both Diaz fighters. I do also take some Canadian pride in GSP too.

The fight was boring as usual and before even watching it, I knew it was going to be a 50-45 like always. GSP is only a lay n pray fighter. Now Hendricks vs Condit, that fight was incredible and was happy when they got $50k bonuses for fight of the night. I also can't wait for Hendricks to wreck GSP. He's a 2 time all american wrestler when he was in college. He is more of a brawler with knockout power while GSP just has better technical striking. That fight won't go 5 rounds.
