Cowboys QB Tony Romo signed a contract with $55 million guaranteed Friday, and he spoke about how close the Cowboys are to bringing a championship back to Dallas.
If nothing else, quarterback Tony Romo's contract extension with the Dallas Cowboys puts a dent in the emerging concept that the highest-paid quarterbacks are the ones who have won in the playoffs.
Baltimore's Joe Flacco signed a six-year, $120 million contract with $52 million guaranteed. Romo's deal has $55 million of guarant

As a Dallas fan I'm really hoping that the changes that are being made this year really make a difference. I have high hopes for next season.

I'm excited for next season but I don't want to see it right now. I want to enjoy spring and summer and not rush the season.

I totally agree with Romo. The Cowboys are on the verge. Of what, I have no idea. I cut Tony a lot of slack the last couple of years but last year he was the weak link in this team. I believe he will never take them to the SB, just doesn't have that killer instinct. Seems to always fall apart in the big games. At least now he can fall apart with his pockets full of money.

Tony did make some mistakes but it wasn't all on him in my opinion. There were other team problems and injuries. I think he can bring them to the superbowl. A few more key players on D would help as well. I'm hoping they can put it together this year.
