Does anyone think Michael Phelps will get the three medals he needs? I think it will be a lot harder this year but he does have a good chance.

I always catch the opening ceremonies because they're so inspiring. Honestly, though, if there isn't any curling, I'm probably not watching.

I normally miss the opening ceremonies. This was the first year that I watched most of it. I'm watching right now. Gymnastics are on right now. I watched some swimming today.

Haha I love how the things you watched were all of the women's events. But hey, watching women play volleyball in those short shorts isn't that bad, if you know what I mean.

LOL. Its just the way it worked out. There was a lot of women's sports on. Women's tennis is on right now. I did watch the mens swimming and when I was watching gymnastics it was the men.

Yes I know what you mean. Women's beach volleyball is an easy sport to watch.

BTW I didn't get to see the event but Canada won our first metal in diving today. It was women's pair and we got a bronze. Nice work ladies.

Watching the replay of Custio Clayton who is a boxer from Nova Scotia. I have never met him but the area he lives in is only about 30 minutes or so from me. He won his opening fight.

I am going to watch the basketball events just so that I can check out this new USA "dream team" and see for myself how they might match up against the classic team with Michael Jordan.

We will have to see but I can't see them being on the same level as that team.

I am not watching the Olympics. I'm not sure why I really can't get involved... but I just can't. It's not my thing.

Are you just not into sports? Some get really excited over the whole country medal count.

The Olympics is the one time I watch some of the sports and I really enjoy it.

I will say that I'm pretty impressed with Michael Phelps and his 19 medals. That has to go a long way towards drumming up more interest in the Olympics. That is, as long as NBC doesn't keep botching the coverage.

Canada’s first Olympic gold comes from Rosannagh MacLennan in trampoline

Toronto’s Rosannagh MacLennan won Canada’s first gold medal of the 2012 Olympics in London after finishing first in women’s trampoline on Saturday.
Maclennan’s score of 57.305 was good enough to keep the distance from the other eight finalists. Toronto’s Karen Cockburn, a three-time Olympic medallist in the event, finished fourth.

An exciting finish for Ryan Cochrane to get a Silver in the 1500m. Way to go Ryan!

Phelps, Grevers golden again in 400 medley relay

"LONDON -- Michael Phelps and Lake Forest's Matt Grevers capped the swimming portion of the London Olympics in style Saturday, winning the gold medal in the men's 400-meter medley relay.

Phelps finished the Games -- which he has said will be his last -- with 22 career medals, 18 gold."

Does anyone know if Michael will continue to race for a couple of more years? I heard this is his last Olympics but is this his last competition?
