We're already past the half-way mark in Wimbledon and the world has witnessed a lot of disappointments. Nadal was ousted by a 19 year old wild card in the 4th round, Murray was eliminated in straight sets in the quarters, Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova were dumped as well. There are a lot of surprises in Wimbledon lately. Who do you think would win? I don't know on the Women's side but I like Roger Federer's chances of winning this year. I think that the stars have aligned to give him the 8th title at Wimbledon and 18th Grandslam title overall.

While I've never watched before this Wimbledon, I saw part of the drama filled Kyrgios vs Nadal and it was insane!

I'm gonna put my money on him (metaphorically)!

Yep, Kyrgios is one scary 19 year old tennis player. He really brought it to Nadal. He kept in throwing bombs left and right. However, he was handily beaten in the next round by another young prospect. Sorry to see your bet go out too soon. :)

I think that Roger Federer looks good and he seems very determined to win a grandslam title this year. There have been a lot of surprises this year at Wimbledon and I was shocked by the defeat of Rafael Nadal to the 19 year old Australian. ON the female side I don't know who will win because my favorite has been defeat already.

Federer fought valiantly in the final, one of the best finals ever!

I really thought that Federer would be able to get that much coveted 18th Grand Slam title and 8th Wimbledon championship trophy. He had the chance to throw Djokovic away. He won the first set. Yet Djokovic came storming back. If only Fed would have won either the second or third set. Sigh... When Djokovic nabbed the send and third sets, I knew Federer had very little chance because he seldom won a five set match against a younger opponent in this day and age.

I wonder if Federer would have this kind of opportunity at another Grand Slam tournament... Would he be able to do it in the US Open?

I wasn't able to watch the men in action. As for the females, the winner turned out just as I had predicted it. Serena Williams is definitely the champion to beat.
