    Let's talk puck!

The 2013-2014 NHL season starts on October 1. Is anyone excited?

    Who's your favourite team?

Who do you have winning the Stanley Cup this year?

I'm a die-hard Toronto Maple Leafs fan and last season, we broke a 9 year playoff drought! It was a longest running playoff drought in the league and I couldn't be happier that we got rid of that embarassing record.

In terms of who the Cup favourites are: Chicago, Pittsburgh, LA and Boston are the odds on favourites but my dark horse pick this year is St. Louis. If they don't face LA (who seems to have their number), I think they can go pretty deep and even reach the finals.

What about the rest of the Gearheads?

I use to watch it but haven't in years (regular season), I do watch some of the playoffs. I like watching Olympic hockey. Most of of my family is Toronto fans. My uncle and his son are Toronto fans, his daughter is a Montreal fan. The torture each other. My father is a Leafs and Jays fan. My brother is a Blues fan.

My brother lives in Toronto now and he said the city was crazy during that period.. Places with strict dress codes had Leaf jerseys on. It was good for business.
