Do you find backseat drivers not only annoying, but a huge distraction with the ability to ruin any journey. As much as I hate them, it turns out that I am one of them and I did not know till recently. Do you happen to be one?

I have experiences back seat drivers but I have no problems with them. I feel it is absolutely fine for them to state what they state, so long as I have a clear head on my shoulders. Also, most of the backseat drivers are elders, so out of respect you do not say much anyways.

I don't remember any instance where I have been a backseat driver. I was simply quite eager to enjoy the back seat than to look at the driving and comment.

It happens to me every now and then, but only if the driver is really bad and I have to open my mouth. It is so easy to be afraid and then let your fears take over and guide you. I hate to admit, but I have backseat driver tendencies, but on really rare occasions.

My kids are backseat drivers! But I don't mind. They make good comments, reminding my husband to wear his seatbelt... Or telling me when they see police. They always want to know how fast I'm going. Funny, the older the get, they encourage me to go faster!

It's funny, back seat or passenger seat drivers (that hit the imaginary brake and hold on) annoy me too. Turns out I can be a bit of a nag too when I am not the driver (imagine that) so I try to remember how I feel. I will admit, my passengers have spotting things before I have sometimes because I was looking ahead, so I try to remain civil and remember that.

reply: No I am not a backseat driver ,but my sister is when your in a car with her. I can't stand taking a 90 mile round trip with her in the car. It's funny that she is like that with others because her accident record speaks for itself.

No, I certainly don't happen to be a backseat driver, when I'm riding in the backseat, I couldn't care less about what the driver is doing, since my mind is always busy doing something like playing with my phone or looking out the window.

Hahaha, not at all! I'm 100% sure I'm not one because when I'm in the passenger seat I don't pay attention to the way the driver drives :p I couldn't care less really, I just enjoy the fact I'm not driving and I can just relax while he is doing all the hard work, lol. My mom is a backseat driver tho... I hate driving with her, she makes me feel so nervious!

When I am not driving, I enjoy not having to pay attention to the road, especially if the traffic is crazy. I would rather just close my eyes and take a nap than get stressed out. I cannot stand back seat drivers. My mom is one of the worst, she has a nervous breakdown over everything and starts screaming like we're all going to die or something, over the littlest things. She doesn't understand that carrying on like that is actually an even bigger distraction which in turn will likely cause an accident than prevent it.

I was never one of those backseat drivers because my father was actually, but he was always the co-driver while I was in the backseat.

My uncle, who was the driver , many types stopped to let my father drive because he was really annoyed by all those directions, observations and insults of my father because of the way my uncle used to drive.

Those family driving quarrels prevented me from turning a backseat driver.

I try not to be but I'm sure I am from time to time. My kid in the backseat is definitely a backseat driver. He's always telling to "go straight" or "turn here." Mostly I just laugh because it's so cute.

If the backseat drivers are elders, then I would keep silent and drive; Otherwise I would just say my friends or brothers to shut their mouth.

I am most definitely a backseat driver. Even though it's very rare that I sit in the backseat lol. I feel like I should say stuff like "You might want to slow down" because what I think is fast the person who is driving might not agree. It's my life involved too. I try not to get too annoying but I do throw out suggestions about how the driver is driving.

I hate backseat drivers. I'm not a chauffeur, so I hate it when people tell me what to do or where to go.

If these backseat drivers insist so much on giving a running commentary, then they should be driving themselves.

I also get really annoyed when people start messing around with my radio, the air controls, windows and such. I don't mind if they roll down the window if they are warm, or ask me to turn something on for them, but don't just start grabbing at the controls of my car. I pay for the car and the insurance, not them, lol. I'm not a taxi service.

I totally understand speaking up if you feel you are in danger with the person driving but I really hate it. I hate for passengers to help me drive, only one person can drive at a time so I feel as if only that person should have a say in the driving. I have rode with people who weren't good drivers and I learned quickly not to ride with them again.

I'm glad that I rarely have any backseat passenger. I mostly drive alone, even if I have to take the backseat sometimes I don't really care how the car is driven as long as I don't die.

Unless the person driving was doing something really dangerous, it would take a lot to get me to the point of yelling at them and telling them to be more careful. Distracting them is only making the problem worse, even if it feels good to get your frustrations off of your chest by speaking up.

I have had some scary instances, on rare occasions. One of the times, my friend went into road rage on another driver and started tailgating them at a high speed on the highway - which was also busy with a lot of other traffic. He was weaving between cars going after the people who nearly ran him off the road. I did yell at him to let it go and slow down.

As a driver I don't mind passengers reminding me once in a while but only if there is a need to. Some passengers are really nosy and comment on everything, those are the people that get on my nerves.
