I was looking for a decent car to get me from place to place as I felt that I was wasting a lot of time on public transport. So I decided to get myself a BMW3 series. I had driven a friends once or twice and I loved the feel and how the car went and so I just had to have it. So when it was time to get a car, that is what I went for.

I have a Toyota corolla. I bought it for several reasons. I had a great bargain and opportunity and so I went for it. The other reason is that where I live, Toyota is much easier to maintain and get a hold of the spare parts and so I am happy about that. It is easier to manage for me and so my environment influenced me a lot.

My car: a 1996 BMW 318. Bought it because it was a very good deal, the previous owner was a guy in his early sixties and he took really good care of the car. I even took it to a mechanic and he said that the car, despite being 15 years old (bought it in 2011), looks like it's barely been used. Literally, the only fixing that the car needed was a broken windshield wiper... because I broke it while scraping the ice off it during winter :D

I bought an older Cadillac since it was a one owner, always garaged and low mileage car that looked great. It was mid 80s so it was smaller and actually gets better mileage than my SUV. I don't drive it all the time and have tried to even detail and improve it more than it was. I couldn't pass it up for the look and the price and the fact I love older cars.

Honestly? I never bought any of the cars I had in the past but my father, and not always based on my choices or wish to have this or that car.

Perhaps this is the reason why I don't have a car nowadays; my father passed away a few years ago and today if I would like to have a car, I would like to buy it with my own money... gulp!

I bought a Dodge minivan. Mostly because the price was good. I really wanted a better one, either a Toyota or a Honda, but we just can't afford it. This van is good enough though.

My current car is a Toyota Camry and I love it. We got this car primarily for the great gas mileage. Since it's a 4 cylinder it gets even better gas mileage than a V6 would.

I bought mine out of pure luck, I was looking for a diesel car, I liked Opel cars and I saw an ad in a newspaper of an Opel Astra really cheap for the years that it had and I bought it. 5 stars so far. :)

I don't really have an answer for this question. My car is a BMW Z3 a small convertible that even if it looks good it's not practical, it has a huge fuel consumption on high speeds and the transmission is problematic. So the only reason I can find is that I liked the way it looked in the add. :pompus:

I pretty much didn't have a choice. My godmother gave me my car so I am forever grateful and whenever I do have a chance to go to the dealership and purchase a car on my own I will be extremely excited because this will be something new for me.

Well I don't have my own car yet, although my family has bought several 2nd hand cars already. We always consider the price of the car first and foremost, and then look at it's quality if it's decent enough to be driven.

My Honda City was more for practical use in the city condition with a great performance and good fuel economy. That is what I went for. I must admit that after so many years that car still works like a charm.

I drive a BMW 3 series. The reason why I decide to buy this car is because I really value the driving experience. To me, a car is more than just commuting. I like that my car is really good handling and that alone make my drives everyday worthwhile.

I bought mine because I thought it was a reliable car, plus it wasn't so expensive and I could definitely picture myself driving it as soon as I saw it :) I'd like to get a Honda next :) Just like my boyfriend's.

I have a 2000 toyota corolla. I bought it because it has enough space for the family. I also had a budget I was working with and the price was very affordable at the time.

I bought my pathfrinder because it was priced right, looked good and was practical. I have bought other cars on an emotional reactions only, but this one was a real solid purchase. I bought it used on Craigslist from a great guy who was looking to get a bigger vehicle. I love the size, the cargo space...everything but the crappy gas mileage. anyway, that's why i bought my car.

I purchased my dodge stratus because my other car was totaled. I needed something quick and I didn't have a lot of money to spend. I went to a used car lot and found a diamond in the rough and am happy with it but hope to get something newer soon.

We actually bought my husband's truck from a small, independent used car dealer in Knoxville. We found his ad on Craigslist and liked the truck immediately. We drove out to the lot and took it for a test ride and then bought it just like we would have from an individual. We paid cash, then then taxes (i hated that part) and then took it home. Had to wait on the tags, but other than that it was a great experienced.

I like the 3 series quite a bit. I got my Mustang because at 420hp for the price it's quite the bargain for a car on the market in this price range... Also to try and keep up with my dad's cars which still have around 50hp on me haha. Also it's surprisingly comfortable and turns LOTS of heads
