I just learn driving and sometimes I forget to step the clutch before changing gears. If this happen from time to time how will this affect the car performance in general? which part of the engine will greatly be affected?

Your transmission will be the one affected if your grinding the gears because of it. If your stalling because of it, you will be using your starter more but it isn't a huge deal. You should get the hang of it.

This sometimes happen and when it does, it will suddenly shake and a sound of baning metals. I guess its not that I forgot to step on the clutch but the clutch is actually too deep that I have to step to it real hard to get through.

Is there anything I could do with it?
