There have been a few posts on Georges St. Pierre here recently. I just learned that
GSP is now cast as the villain or one of the villains in the second Captain America film.
No this has nothing to do with Randy Couture (who was sometimes dubbed Captain America).
Anyway a few other Mixed Martial Arts guys have done a few roles in films including
Randy Couture and Rampage Jackson and Andre Arlovski, to name some of the ones that come to mind.
Of course there is also a fairly long list of martial arts guys who hit the movie scene, from Bruce Lee on to Steven Segal and Jean Claude Van Damme. Some of course met with more success than others.

I did hear that he was going to be in the movie but I didn't hear what role he would be playing and I forgot to look. I'm surprised he is playing a bad guy. I hope he does well.

The character is a French Kickboxer mercenary named Batroc the Leaper. He is a master of Savate.
I hope he does well too.

Doesn't really seem like a good role for him. He comes off too overly nice and respectful to all of his real life opponents. Seeing him acting as a villain will be hilarious. Hopefully he can pull the job off extremely well.

That's a pretty interesting role. What's more interesting is playing the role of a villan. At least the director won't worry about a stuntman for Pierre.

I heard the same, I'm curious to see if "I will be impressed by his performance" as an actor. MMA fans will understand why put that in quotation marks lol. But I'm surprised to see that you would put MMA fighters in the same class as Jean Claude Van Damme who in my opinion was a huge fraud and shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence as Bruce Lee.
