It is sort of old hat, no pun intended, but I've always liked Oldsmobiles. They are discontinued now, but my wife still drives one of their sedans.

For trucks, I've had good luck with the Ford F-series in recent years.

I'm probably going to get a lot of criticism but for me, I just love anything Audi. For some reason I have this strange attraction to those cars.

I would have to say either Pagani or BMW. I love the shape of every Pagani I have seen, and I think they are beautiful cars. Of course they are not in most peoples budget, including my own. I love BMW also, they make a good range of quality motors, and most of them look great.

I'm a bowtie guy, Chevy was the first car I owned, the first car I worked on and the first car I got lucky in :)

I'm still in love with the 350 small block, holley carb and eddlebrock heads combo. Tweaked out to 383 with a beefy transmission and larger crank it puts out some serious horsepower!

My favorite car brand is Honda. I think they're reliable and they're good on gas. My second favorite brand is BMW.

Budget wise I would pick Toyota or Honda. But if I were richer I'd pick Ford, BMW and Lotus.

Cars and trucks I have had Chevs and Fords. Some were good and some
not so much. Never had a Chrysler never had a Toyota. Did have a Nissan and
a Mazda and two Honda motorcycles.
Hard to answer. Some companies produce both good vehicles and not so good.
And another factor to muddy the mix, are you buying new or used and
is the used vehicle well maintained?
Generally speaking Honda and Toyota seem to have pretty good reps for
    vehicles.

Porsche for me. One of my favorites was the old 914. Glorified VW but is was fun to drive. 280px-MHV_VW-Porsche_914-6.jpg

My sister just sent me a pic of my old one back in the States. I don't have a scanner here but the next time I'm in the city I'll do it and post.

Volvo has to be the best brand out there. It is the safest car ever. The reality that car accidents do take place is enough to make you plan ahead just in case anything ever happens. The way Volvo are made make it really good for me to depend on. I like knowing that if anything ever did happen me and my family are a lot safer than if in another car.

I really like Honda motor vehicles. You can drive them over 300,000 miles and they keep on going. I have two Hondas currently and I have had the least problems with them out of all the cars I have ever owned.

Toyota has got to be the best. They are a really comfortable drive. They generally look good and have a sense of class. Also because they are the biggest brand in the world they have a lot of support. Access to spare is easily achievable and so for me i never have to worry too much about a break down and getting the right replacement part.

I love Honda, as well as Subaru. My first car was a 2000 Audi A6 and it had over five grand in repairs in the first three months. I'll never buy a German car again, unless I somehow end up with the money to buy an R8 one day.

Toyota is a pretty good company. They make some pretty good and reliable cars you just need to put in the work to keep them up to shape. A lot of people underetimate how good it is to check your car every couple months for things that can be fixed or prevented.

I'm sticking with Ford, for two reasons. One, it's the only brand I've ever driven with any regularity. Reason two? GT40. My favorite race car of all time — next to Jim Hall's Chaparrals anyway.

The only car that I've had experience driving is a Chevy Cobalt, and it was pretty great. However, my dad's Ford has practically gone through war, yet still runs. A lot of people that I know have Subarus, all used with over a hundred thousand miles, so those seem pretty reliable as well. I personally love the styling of the WRX STi.

I love WRXs, with a burning passion. At least, the newer ones. The older ones from the early 2000s are somewhat hideous, but the new ones, especially the concept WRX that was just released recently, is just awesome.

Mercedes has to be my favorite car brand. I love their designs and their cars. The downside is that service and parts are very expensive, which also pushes insurance premiums up.

Was it a brand new car or a 2nd hand car? If it was a brand new one then there's something seriously wrong about that!
