Now that we have Inconsiderate Buyers, Salespeople and Service Deparement threads on the Smart Shoppers board, here's where you share your stories and voice your aggravations, about idiot drivers.

My favorites: people who cannot negotiate a stop sign (either they go before their turn, or sit cluelessly through three or four of their own turns, irritating everyone and blocking traffic behind them).

people who ride you when they could easily pass you and people that pull out in front of you(from side street) when they really don't have the time to do it.
(then they go 15 mph under speed limit for a mile or two).

Drivers who cut you off and those impatient ones who honk their horns soo loud while waiting for the traffic to move. I have encountered really long honks and it was very annoying!

The very definition of inconsiderate drivers are the left lane hoggers, the ones who casually just drive in there and stay there.

The left lane is for passing only. By blocking it up and going slow, you're disrupting the normal flow of traffic and you can't let faster traffic go by. If you come up behind a car going slower, you go into the left lane pass that car, then go back when it is safe to do so. This is a big problem in the US as many people do not know they are doing it. In many states, it is a traffic violation, though it is rarely enforced.

Yep, left and middle laners, I'd like to see them being pulled over for doing it. I always try to drive with good sense and consideration for everyone on the road, but sometimes I feel I'm in the middle of a race... :jimlad:

I think those Lunatics out there who only want to race with every other drivers are the inconsiderate lot. I have seen many such menacing ones which just pass others and sometimes people around without realizing that they could have killed someone. Those are the idiots I would want to see off the road.

I would have to agree sulayman, if you can't appropriately figure out when it is your turn at a four way stop, please exit the vehicle and don't get back in. But, by far my biggest pet peeve is sloppy driving due to cell phone use. Come on people, we've seen and heard about hundreds of people getting killed because of this, we know its bad. Stop!!

I hate the sort of drivers who don't use their turn signals. I've witnessed drivers just making a turn out of the blue without warning the motorist behind them. On a slippery road, in winter this could cause a bad accident.

I always use signs when I have cars around me, but when the road is empty I see no point in doing it, except for mu wife annoying me to do them next to me... :D

IMO turn signals all the time whether there are vehicles around or not gets you into the habit of doing it regularly. So that means, by force of habit, anytime you want to turn and your mind has wandered, your hand will naturally get the job done without you consciously thinking about it.

Eh, I think it's a waste of resources to do the signals when there's no one around you know, or am I just being lazy? :) You have a point, if I did it all the time I would get used to it, but I don't want to! :)

I really hate when someone rides right in your blind spot. They will not pass you or get behind you just stay right there on the side of you. I try to slow down or speed up to encourage them to make a decision to do something.

Why would anyone do that Kelly? I never had that problem that someone deliberately do it, but I almost had an accident when I tried to turn and a car was there, but I think it's things that just happen sometimes right?

I swear some people do it on purpose just to annoy me. I feel that way because of the length of time they do this. It's not for a few seconds either. Or it could just be me being paranoid lol.

Maybe they are just into you? :p

My brother has a bad temper driving, he can cause an accident just to prove a point, I think that's insane... :(

The honkers are the ones that irritate the me the most to be honest. Some people here have no reasos to hand honk at all, but they still do it!

I think honking must be done as a warning and not to complain and I think people use it mostly to complain and that might even cause more distractions that can cause accidents...

Lol Caparica, maybe they are :). I usually only honk at people when they are about to hit me. Unless they are purposely trying to annoy me and then I get really childish and lay on the horn for like 10 seconds. Then we have those who like to throw up the middle finger. I try not to look at them when they do that because I'm so tempted to do it back.

    :D

Middle finger is something really common worldwide I suppose, it's an auto language. :p

Maybe you're the exception Kelly, women love to honk to complain, it's a fact! :)

LOL, yeah! Sadly I like in a country where they honk too much. Back when I was in Norway, I was told that honking was very restricted, only used as a warning, just as you said.
